The ISO 9001 Auditing Practices Group (APG), an informal group of quality management system experts, auditors, and practitioners drawn from the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and ISO Technical Committee 176 (the ISO committee responsible for developing and maintaining quality management standards), has revised its guidance document, “ISO 9001 Auditing Practices Group Guidance on: Auditing Competence.”
“Competence is part of the backbone of any organization,” states the APG website. “The APG paper giving guidelines on auditing ‘competence’ has been revised to provide an expanded view in relation to competence requirements throughout the entire body of ISO 9001 requirements.”
The revised guidance document is available for download here.
